While there continue to be loads of indications that English Premier League side Chelsea will continue their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland this summer, there are also signs that the German Bundesliga giants will not be letting go of the Norwegian striker, at least not in this summer. Haaland is Chelsea’s prime target and they have reportedly halted their chase of any other player as they try to channel all of their focus on signing the Norwegian international forward this summer at all cost.
Sancho formed a deadly strike partnership with Haaland last season and both of them combined for a lot of goals in the Bundesliga in the last campaign and losing Sancho created a big void in the Dortmund team, something they are not willing to risk again, which is why they are insisting that Haaland is not for sale.
While Dortmund continue to insist that they will not sell the former RB Salzburg star, reports from multiple sources claim that a bid in the excess of £150 million could be too tempting to reject by Dortmund. However, Chelsea are still trying to see if they can get the striker for a less amount. The Blues’ former star Yuri Zhirkov has urged Chelsea to get Haaland, insisting that he is the kind of striker they need.
